Funded by the GM Foundation, Buick Achievers scholarships are awarded to students who excel in the classroom and give back to their communities. Special consideration is given to students who are female, minorities, first-generation college students, military veterans and military dependents.
The scholarship program, which is only available to students in the United States and Puerto Rico, aims to "shape the next generation of leaders and innovators for the automotive industry and other sectors that are so important to the future of our country."
To be eligible for the program, high school seniors or current undergraduate students must be seeking a college degree in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), or other eligible fields related to the automotive industry.
Since its inception in 2011, the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program has awarded more than $27 million in scholarships to 3,400 students. This year, the program will award 50 scholarships of up to $25,000 per year, renewable for up to four years or five years for qualified engineering programs.
THIS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.
