Ozarka “Every Drop Counts” Scholarship Program is open to students residing in the state of Texas pursuing degrees at a four-year college or university in the field of earth or environmental science.
Applicants must be studying in the areas of Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Environmental Education, Forestry, Oceanography, and Ecology. A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required as well as acceptance or enrollment in an accredited college or university in a four-year degree program.
Each student applying must complete a two-page essay that describes why they chose earth or environmental science as their field of study. A total of six scholarships are awarded each year.
The scholarship is sponsored by Nestle Waters North America who makes Ozarka® Brand Natural Spring Water, the number one selling bottled water in the state of Texas. Nestle is a world leader in the manufacture and marketing of products that include food, beverages, cereals, confectionery, pet foods and water. They have 276,000 employees in over 500 locations around the world.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500 - $10,000.
