The Advancing Aspirations Global Scholarship offers a scholarship contest for both women and men who are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. The contest encourages young people to become involved in business issues affecting women today.
Ten scholarships will be awarded. Grand prize winners will also receive a complimentary trip to either Atlanta or Chicago to attend the annual Womenetics Global Women's Initiative conference in Atlanta or Chicago this fall.
Each student entering the contest must complete a 2,500 word essay on selected topics. Topics will relate to women in business leadership roles, women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields, working mothers, and more topics. Along with the essay, applicants must include a 200 word explanation of how the scholarship money will help them achieve their goals.
The scholarship is sponsored by Womenetics with support from U.S. Bank and Discover. Womenetics is a global organization supporting women in leadership positions and diversity in business organizations. The organization focuses on woman as effective business leaders, as successful business owners and as individuals who affect changes in global issues.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in AUGUST of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
