SRR Women in Finance Scholarship is sponsored by Stout Risius Ross, Inc. Women who are juniors at a four-year college or university majoring in finance, economics or accounting may apply.
Female students must have a grade point average of 3.2 or above and be U.S. citizens in order to apply. To apply, students must complete the application and include a letter of recommendation from a college professor or school advisor. They must also complete a 500 words or less essay.
Stout Risius Ross, Inc. is a global financial advisory services organization with offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C. The scholarship program is designed to help women in finance complete their college education and begin a career in a financial-related field.
One scholarship per year is awarded to a female student pursuing a career in finance. Qualifying students must have a strong interest in the financial field and the ability to understand complex valuation matters. They must also demonstrate outstanding ability in academics as well as achievement in extracurricular activities.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in SEPTEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
