Women in Public Finance Achievement and Scholarship Awards are for female high school seniors who are pursuing careers in public finance. Eligible career pursuits include finance, government, nonprofits or law.
This scholarship is open to females only. A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required. In addition, students must excel in mathematics and also be active in outside activities such as extracurricular school activities, volunteer work, and other activities that demonstrate leadership skills.
Up to ten scholarships are awarded. To apply, students must complete an online application and essay, and include a copy of their high school transcript. They must plan to attend an accredited college or university to pursue a degree in finance or finance-related field.
The scholarship is sponsored by Women in Public Finance, a non-profit organization that supports women in the public finance industry. The scholarship was formed to encourage more women to pursue careers in finance.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in AUGUST of each year, and the award amount VARIES.
