Ashley Soule Conroy Foundation Scholarship is for college students who plan to study abroad for at least one full semester. Eligible students must be full-time students wanting to study outside the U.S.
Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Study abroad must be done in the Spring or Fall semesters. Students must be enrolled full-time at a four-year, accredited college or university. They must be undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of college.
To apply, students may submit an application, resume, an official letter indicating their financial need, transcript of grades, and a 500-800 word essay that describes an experience that has changed or shaped their life.
The scholarship is offered by the Ashley Soule Conroy Foundation in memory of Ashley Soule Conroy. Ashley grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, and attended College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She was passionate about studying abroad and thoroughly enjoyed her study abroad experience in India. After Ashley's tragic death in 2006, her family created the foundation so other students would have the opportunity to study abroad.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000.
