Applicants must be females who have made a difference in their school, their community, or even the world. Candidates may apply by submitting an essay of 300 words or less telling why they think they qualify to be the CosmoGIRL! of the Year.
There is no minimum grade point average required. Only one scholarship will be awarded.
The scholarship is sponsored by Cosmopolitan, an international fashion magazine for women. Cosmopolitan was first published in 1886.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000 - $20,000.
