The Girls Inc. National Scholars Program offers scholarships to female high school seniors graduating from affiliate high schools located throughout the U.S. and Canada. Candidates must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
The private scholarship is open only to young women who are in the 11th or 12th grade and who are members of a Girls Inc. affiliate. Multiple scholarships are awarded each year and may be applied to tuition and expenses at any accredited 2- or 4-year college or university.
Girls Inc. is a non-profit organization that inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy. Since 1993, Girls Inc. has awarded over $3.3 million in scholarships to hundreds of high school girls. The Scholars Program was created by Lucile Miller Wright, a long-time supporter of Girls Inc. and a pioneer aviator, who made a bequest from her estate to fund scholarships expressly for young women members.
